Lobelia Cardinalis Queen Victoria

Rosettes of foliage send up spikes of blood red flowers on branching stems with deep purplish bronze, oblong, toothed leaves. Rich, moist soil in sun or part shade. Zone 4 to 9. Effective plants for bog, streamside or woodland garden. Dark purple leaves are dramatic punctuations in the border. Plant with aconitum, actaea, caltha palustris, Siberian iris, ligularia, and tradescantia. Deer and Rabbit Resistant.   Attracts butterflies and other pollinators.
