Macleaya Cordata Plume Poppy

This is a tall vigorous plant with a large lobed, white-green airy flower plumes. It is a very stately summer blooming perennial for the back of the border. This plant spready by rhizomes. Give this one plenty of room and rouge regularly to restrain growth. Plant in average to poor soil in full sun. Zone 3-10. Use as a tall specimen on a tough bank or site, add bold plants like eupatorium, grasses and daylilies.
