Monarda Fistulosa Wild Bergamot

A butterfly and hummingbird plant. Running rootstock send up erect square stems with toothed, aromatic leaves, and whorled clusters of flowers. Mildew resistant. A strong grower. Full sun to part shade in moisture retentive soil.  Zone 3-9. Combine in borders with yarrow, balloon flowers, garden phlox, cranesbill geraniums, and lilies. Combine in wild garden with boneset, hibiscus, joe-pye-weed, and queen-of-the-prairie.
