Mid-spring ushers in hundreds of white flowers clustered throughout the dense, glossy-green foliage. In fall, foliage turns a vibrant shades of orange and red. This Aronia does not bear fruit. The ‘Low Scape’ Series is derived from the native Aronia melanocarpa. Great option for borders, containers, and screens. Also works well in landscape or mass plantings, and can be a specimen. With good erosion control consider planting this shrub on slopes or in areas of high erosion. This plant also works well in rain gardens due to its ability withstand prolonged inundated conditions.
Full sun - part shade. Any moist-wet soil. Zone 3-9.
Heat, drought, salt, erosion and wet (boggy) soil tolerant.
Attracts pollinators, rabbit tolerant.
Blooms on old wood - if desired, prune to shape immediately after blooming. Death and Damage can be removed at anytime.
