Eye -catching apple-green succulent with round rosettes up to 6 inches wide that spread by “hatching” smaller rosettes (chicks) from the main plant (hens). Bizarre selection with leaves rolled into a tube. Plant in full sun in a wide variety of soils, even pure sand, but they must have good drainage. Like it hot and dry. Excellent grown in rock gardens, miniature gardens, porch boxes, garden vases, strawberry jars, dry stone walls, and between paving stones.
Zone 4-9.
