Stokesia Honeysong Purple

Very showy border bloomer with  mounds of dark green, glossy, thick leaves that produce stiff branching stems bearing large, flat cornflower-like true royal purple blooms that fold up rather than fade. Very adaptable plant growing in full sun to light shade in average, well drained soil. A very hardy, strong border performer and  looks great planted on gentle slopes. Plant with coreopsis, dianthus, salvia, lambs ear, liatris, low growing artemesia, and oenothera.
