Tradescantia Andersoniana Sweet Kate

Narrow strap-like yellow leaves grow in dense clumps. Foliage brightens shady areas and contrasts well with its dark blooms. Prefers full shade in evenly moist soil. In heat of summer foliage can become ragged in drought; cut plant back to the ground for re-growth and re-bloom in fall. Can be used as a shady edging plant or as a ground cover on shady slopes. Combine with bergenia, hosta, ligularia, primula, hardy geranium, and hardy begonia.
