Wrinkled grey-green leaves form an attractive, semi-evergreen rosette from which the flower spires emerge. Nectar/pollen rich flowers, caterpillar food plant. Thrives in full sun in well drained average to sandy soil. Will not tolerate a wet winter site. Mulleins work well in wild gardens or rear of sunny borders, or planted en masse. Plant with nepeta, echinacea, rudbeckia, liatris, and ornamental grass.
