Because each blooms last for weeks, as the soil pH changes throughout summer and the blooms age, so changes the color of the flowers. Full sun- part shade. Any rich, moist, well-draining soil. When planted in full sun maintain even soil moisture with mulch. Protect from winter winds. Zone 5-9.
