'Ben Morrison' is a large and vigorous evergreen Azalea with a broad, upright habit. Interesting mid-spring tricolor flowers are vibrant pink with a deep red speckled detail an white edges. Makes a lovely specimen in the dappled or part shade garden.
Part Shade. Average, moist-wetter, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9.
Attracts pollinators including hummingbirds.
Consider planting in raised bed if planting in heavy clay soil.
Apply mulch to protect shallow root system as well as maintain soil moisture and stabilize soil temperatures.
To lower pH add an acidifier such as sulfur of iron sulfate, to increase pH add limestone or lime to soil.
Remove spent blooms immediately after flowering.
