Iris Germanica Lent A. Willamson

Fans of broad, flat, pointed leaves grow from thick rhizomes that creep along the soil surface. Flower stalks emerge bearing large buds that open to big papery irises with bearded falls. A mix of near lavender, deep purple and a splash of yellow make these flowers gorgeous. Full sun in average to dry, well drained soil that does not remain too wet in winter. Zone 3-8.
