The only dark leafed astilbe with purple flowers on the market. This show-stopper produces coarsely textured, near black foliage and rosy buds that open to purple flowers. Partial shade to full sun in organically rich, moist soil that does not dry out. Likes a boggy area in full sun. Blooms in mid to late summer. Zone 4-9. Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts pollinators.
