Mounding shrub blanketed in flower clusters, with a full show of spectacular fall foliage colors, and edible black berries. The ‘Low Scape’ Series is derived from the native Aronia melanocarpa. With good erosion control consider planting this shrub on slopes or in areas of high erosion. This plant also works well in rain gardens due to its ability withstand prolonged inundated conditions. Good option for borders, containers, edging, ground cover, landscape, and mass plantings.
Full sun - part shade. Any moist-wet, well-draining soil. Zone 3-9.
Heat, drought, salt, boggy soil tolerant.
Attracts pollinators including bees, butterflies, and birds.
Blooms on old wood - if desired, prune to shape immediately after blooming. Death and damage can be removed at any time.
