Iris Germanica Batik

Fans of broad, flat, pointed leaves grow from thick rhizomes that creep along the soil surface. Flower stalks emerge bearing large buds that open to big papery irises with bearded falls. Funky violet and white speckled standards and falls. Full sun in average to dry, well drained soil that does not remain too wet in winter.  Zone 4-9. Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts butterflies.
