One of the most popular ornamental grasses with good reason. This cool season grass sends up flowers in mid summer. The seed heads fade to tan in the fall and hold up all winter. Feathery plumes that fade to a bright buff color. Will not reseed- Don’t worry, it won’t take over. Full sun, still blooms in ordinary garden soil. Cut down in early spring. Zone 5-8. Attracts birds.
