This unique variety features large, glossy green leaves with a serrated and wavy margin. Unlike other bergenia varieties, Ripple Effect is not evergreen, and will go dormant after fall frost. Blooms from early to late spring. Clusters of white flowers are held above the foliage. Plant in full sun to part shade, in average, fertile, well drained soil. Its best to trim dead leaves in early spring. Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts pollinators.
