The upright silver-green stems are covered in a mist of lavender-blue flowers. The perfect plant to intermingle textures in flower borders, it adds a cool color through the late summer. Blooms from July to September. Whorls of two-lipped, tubular, lavender-blue flowers. Full sun in well-drained soil. Heat and drought tolerant. Perovskia has few pests and disease issues and rarely needs pruning. If pruning is necessary, do so in early spring when new growth appears. Deer Resistant, attracts butterflies. Zone 4-8.
