Acer Palmatum Bloodgood Japanese Maple

Bloodgood Japanese Maples offers strong depth of color from its deep burgundy foliage that turns bright red in fall. The slow growth rate is worth the wait for the beautiful natural layered form. A great addition to the landscape, and works well as specimen, or in containers. 

Full sun - part shade. Any moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-8.

Deer and rabbit resistant. 

Pruning - generally not needed, and too much can harm its natural form. Pruning to shape can be done in late winter/early spring. Death and damage can be removed anytime.
