Rise & Shine offers superior genetics that result in a more solid root structure & more vibrant flower color. However, they still offer the increased sun and drought tolerance of the chinensis species. Partial shade to full sun in organically rich, moist soil that does not dry out. Likes a boggy area in full sun. Zone 3-8. Plant in mass along ponds and in boggy areas. Combine in shady, moist border with hosta, ferns, solomon seal, columbine, cimicifuga, and anemone. Deer and Rabbit Resistant.
