Leucothoe Fontanesiana Makijaz

A compact mound-forming evergreen shrub with variegated multicolor foliage that includes deep magenta, dark green and cream. In spring, white bell shaped flowers appear along stems. In fall, the foliage that cascade down the arching stems turns burgundy red. Makes for a good low hedge, ground cover, container plant, or as a foundation or naturalized boarder.

Attracts pollinators.  

Part sun/shade. Average, humusy, acidic, moist, well-draining soil.

Zone 5-9.

Maintains a compact, neat shape without pruning.
