Rhododendron English Roseum

'English Roseum' is a dense, mounding, evergreen that blooms large trusses of light pink flowers in late spring. Looks delightful when planted in mass or as a specimen, and also works well in borders, woodland gardens and margins, foundation plantings or as a hedge. 

Part shade. Acidic, rich, moist, humusy, well-draining soil. Protect from high winds. Zone 4-8.

Attracts pollinators, rabbit resistant. 

Consider planting in raised bed if planting in heavy clay soil. 

Apply mulch to protect shallow root system as well as maintain soil moisture and stabilize soil temperatures.

 To lower pH add an acidifier such as sulfur of iron sulfate, to increase pH add limestone or lime to soil.

Remove spent blooms immediately after flowering.
