You'll smell them before you see them, the tiny pink and white flowers that bloom under the broadleaf evergreen foliage in late winter/early spring have a strong and most pleasant fragrance. Makes a wonderful groundcover in shady gardens interplanted with hostas, heucheras, ferns, helleborus.
Part shade- full shade. Rich, acidic, consistently moist, well-draining soil. Zone 6-8.
Established plants have some drought tolerance, attracts pollinators, heavy shade tolerant.
Prune in spring after blooming.
