Castle Rouge is an amazing 4 season option. New growth emerges glossy red-burgundy and then in winter turns a deep, dark burgundy. This male variety will serve to pollinate the rest of the Castle series as well as other blue holly shrubs.
Zones 5-7 | Evergreen | Uses: hedges, screens, landscaping
Pruning: Blooms on old wood. Best left unpruned to avoid losing berries, but male varieties like Castle Rogue can be pruned after blooming, if desired
