Very sturdy, drought-resistant plant with blue-green leaves divided into leaflets and spikes of pea-like flowers. Long lived vigorous plant with foliage that stays clean all season. Tall spikes of dusty purple with showy cream keels, pea-like flowers. Very floriferous. Attractive seed heads. Full sun in well drained, average soil that is not overly fertile.
Very good tolerance to poor soil and drought.
Long lived plant that should not be disturbed once established. Zone 5-8. Interspecific hybrid of our native baptisias.
