Goji berry fruits are very nutritious and have a higher beta carotene content than carrots. Can be eaten raw or dried. Sprawling stems have small thorns. Self fertile.

Late spring, Small purple star shaped flowers. Berries ripen late summer into fall.

Do not prune for 2 years, as it will take that long before fruit sets. After that you may prune out old or damaged branches in early spring which may be unnecessary if the whole plant is healthy.

It is a good idea to train it onto a support of some kind, be it a wall, fence, or trellis, as the fruit can weigh the branches down quite a bit.
