This interesting new plant comes from the breeding program of Dr. Dennis Werner at NC State. It is a weeping, variegated selection of our native redbud. However the small size and highly ornamental characteristics make it great for smaller urban gardens. The hot-pink flowers emerge before the foliage and attract early spring pollinators.
