Azalea Red Demon

Red Demon is an eye catching deciduous azalea with a long blooming period. Compact, rounded habit make it a lovely plant to tuck into the border for spring color. The fall color is also attractive. Use in the mixed shrub border and the foundation landscape. No pruning needed, but if desired prune immediately after blooming, removing no more than a third of the branches.  

Attracts pollinators  

Blooms: Red, 2-3” flowers open in clusters. Mid spring to early summer. Noted for longer bloom time than other azaleas.

Zones 4-7 | Part shade, moist, slightly acidic soil | Responds well to yearly fertilizer applications and mulch for moisture retention.
