Baptisia Dark Chocolate

New series that boasts bushier, more compact habit.  Dark purple flower spikes in late spring followed by dark seed heads in the fall. Tall spikes of dark purple  pea like flowers. Very floriferous. Full sun in well drained, average soil that is not overly fertile.

Very good tolerance to poor soil and drought.

Long lived plant that should not be disturbed once established. Baptisias are native to the US.  Zone 4-9.
