Iris Germanica Neptune‘s Wine

Fans of broad, flat, pointed leaves grow from thick rhizomes that creep along the soil surface. Flower stalks emerge bearing large buds that open to big papery irises with bearded falls. Large mahogany-red standards and falls and dark violet blue beards. Plant in full sun in average to dry, well drained soil that does not remain too wet in winter.
