Astrantia Roma

Clump-forming perennial with masses of palm-shaped leaves. Wiry stems rise above foliage and carry  rounded flower heads with showy bracts.  Very floriferous, long blooming variety. Large silver pink-flower heads cupped in fine bracts. For the shady perennial border or along streams. Very effective when naturalized under light, open trees. Plant with heuchera, aquilegia, woodland phlox, and pulmonaria.

Prefers partial or full shade and moist but well drained organic soil.

Zone 4-7.
