Allium Millenium

Compact, upright clump of glossy green, thick and strappy leaves which emit a slight smell on onion when crushed. Full sun in a well drained site. Will tolerate some afternoon shade. Does not want to be wet.  Zone 5-8. Reliable late summer bloomer. Great rock garden plant or plant among perennials in the sunny border. Round flower heads contrast well with asters and the spiked blooms of agastache.
