Clumps of ridged stems with fine foliage give this plant a soft texture. Foliage turns bright yellow in fall. Clusters of star-shaped, blue  blooms. Full sun or part shade in average to moist soil. Does well in rocky or heavy soils. Native to Arkansas and Oklahoma.  Zone 5-9.  Good to use in a rain garden. Fine foliage is good contrast for bolder foliage of sedum, and Iris. Shear plants by 1/3 after blooming so plant retains its rounded shape.
