Native to deciduous eastern woodlands. Slender wiry dark mahogany stems with dark green fine leaves twist and wander. Sprays of delicate flowers cover plant in fall. Average to dry soil in part shade. Native to the Eastern United States. Zone 3-8. Good naturalizer under trees or at woods edge for fall color. Looks good tucked in around shade specimen plants. Deer Resistant.
