This native astilbe closely resembles an aruncus with large astilbe like foliage, topped with tall spikes of whitish flowers in late spring....a great backdrop in the woodland garden. Part Sun to Light Shade, Rich mountain woods; seepage slopes. Good in damp woodlands with Fly Poison, Trailing Arbutus, Twinleaf, Bishops Cap and Mayapple.
