Baptisia Solar Flare Prairieblues

Very sturdy, drought resistant plant with blue green leaves divided into rounded leaflets and spikes of pea-like flowers. Long lived vigorous plant with foliage that stays clean all season. Full sun in well drained, average soil that is not overly fertile. Very good tolerance to poor soil and drought. Long lived plant that should not be disturbed once established.  Zone 3-9. Good middle of the sunny border plant that will have a shrub like effect. Plant with asclepias, asters, echinaceas, garden phlox, iris, liatris, and salvia. Provides a good focal point in border.
