Heart shaped, silvery leaves with prominent dark green veins. Shade tolerant, great groundcover. Cold tolerance (Zone 3) so they can be used in containers. Spring bloomer with true blue flowers. Full to part shade in average to fertile soil. Average, consistent water needs. Zones 3-8. Plant in shady border or woodland walk where bright foliage will provide interest all season. Plant with spring bulbs, bleeding hearts, epimedium, tiarella, and woodland phlox. Deer Resistant, attracts pollinators.
