Clematis Integrifolia Violet Stardust

This broad leaved hybrid Clematis is a cross between two distinct species, giving it a unique look and performance in the garden. The clump is covered with a profusion of small 1.5", blue violet, four to five-petaled, star-shaped nodding flowers. Full sun in good garden soil. Cut back after bloom for second flush of foliage and bloom. Cut back hard at the end of winter for new spring growth. Zone 3-7. Summer-blooming, upright, bushy shrub like plant for the middle or back of the sunny border that will mingle nicely with shrubs or stout perennials and grasses. Nice specimen plant. Though not a climber, will grow up and tumble over a wall or down a bank.
