A rosette of green foliage gives way to the tall showy flower stems. A biennial or weak perennial. If allowed to go to seed, it will act more as a biennial. Tall spikes of pastel shades of purple, pink, yellow, and white. Cut off spent flower stalks to promote re blooming. Plant in average, moist yet well draining soil, in full sun to part shade. Do not let the soil dry out. Zone 4-8. Deer resistant, attracts pollinators.
