Flowers emerge as a lovely shade of salmon-pink with some soft yellow petals in the center. As the aromatic blooms mature, their salmon-pink petals become pale pink and large, dark crimson cones form. Does best in a sunny site in well drained fertile soil. Tolerates a hot, dry site. Great cut flowers. Dead head to encourage re bloom. Zone 4-9. Plant with long flowering plants for the sunny border or wildflower meadow. Plant with heliopsis, yarrow, coreopsis, daylilies, liatris, helianthus, rudbeckia, and ornamental grass.
