Butterflies love this plant. Sun to part shade in average moist soil. Will tolerate boggy soil.  Zone 3-7. Use in cut flower garden, meadow garden, mixed border as a specimen plant in the back of border with echinacea, garden phlox, rudbeckia, solidago, heliopsis, daylilies, helenium, fall blooming sedum, and ornamental grass.
