This is a beautiful fern with green, grey and burgundy coloration on the fronds. Spreads by creeping rhizomes. Perennial Plant of the Year 2004. Shaded moist garden where the soil is loose so rhizome and roots can spread well. Deer resistant. Good for containers. Combines well with colorful heuchera, other ferns, hostas, campanula, and columbines.
