The ‘Double Take™’ series has a longer blooming season, and thornless branches.  This quince has a compact rounded form that begins its floriferous blooming before foliage fully emerges. A low to no maintinernce plants, pruning gerneally not needed to develop full form. A good choice for borders, screens, landscape and mass plantings, as well as a specimen. Also works for cut flowers and espalier. 

Full Sun. Average, moist-drier, well-draining, soil. Zone 5-9.  

Attracts pollinators including bees. Deer resistant. Drought and heat tolerant. 

Blooms on old wood - prune immediately after flowering. Pruning is generally not needed. 

If desired, apply controlled release fertilizer in early spring.
