Fern with fronds clustered in a funnel and arched outward. Very attractive with glossy green leaves densely covered with glossy brown scales. Unfurling fronds look like a bears paw. Easily grown in woodland conditions with cool humus-rich soil. Zone 6-8. Plant in wooded area with hosta, dicentra, asarum, epimedium, heuchera, woodland spring bulbs, and aquilegia. Deer and Rabbit Resistant.
