Compact loosetrife, with grayish foliage and dark purple flower spikes. May reseed a bit, but not as aggressive as other loosestrifes. Does best in full sun to part shade in average soil. Moist, but well-drained soil is best. Tolerates boggy areas. Good for use in a water garden, a wooded area or as a mass planting. Combines well with dark foliaged heuchera or tradescanthia, and hosta.
Zone 4-8.
