Monarda Didyma Blue Moon

In midsummer, this plant will form a solid dome of color with 2-2.5 inch flowers on strong, well-branched stems.  Above average resistance to powdery mildew.    The attractive foliage smells like mint when crushed. Full sun to part shade in moisture retentive soil.  Zone 4-8. Combine in borders with yarrow, balloon flowers, garden phlox, cranesbill geraniums, and lilies. Combine in wild garden with boneset, hibiscus, joe-pye-weed, and queen-of-the-prairie.
