Astilbe Chinensis Purple Lance

An attractive, clump forming species known to be drought tolerant once established. Bears dense yet feathery plumes of brilliant purple blooms that contrast nicely with their dark foliage. Many dense purple plumes held above the foliage. Excellent for cut or dried flowers. Prefers to be planted in partial shade to part sun in organically rich, moist, yet well draining soil. Likes a boggy area with some sun.
