Interesting round, puckered, intensely cup-shaped dark blue green leaves. Distinct specimen plant. Light to full shade in average soil. Likes a moist location but will tolerate dry shade. Long lived and reliable plants grown for their foliage. Stalwarts for the shade garden, as edging, ground cover, or accent plants. Great shade container plants. Naturalizes well with ferns and spring woodland bulbs. Plant with hardy geranium, epimedium, lamium, tiarella, woodland phlox, viola, and dicentra.
