This small flowered clematis blooms in the fall masses of fragrant white flowers. Plant on a fence or trellis near the house to enjoy its fragrance. Very vigorous. Cut to the ground in the late winter/early spring. Sun to part shade in cool moist soil. Add lime at planting and every year after. Roots need to be kept cool. Skirt it with a small shrubs or large perennials. This clematis is much more aggressive than large-flowered types. Give it plenty of room to spread and climb. Zone 4-9.
Pruning Group 3 - Flowers only on new wood. Can be cut to the ground in fall or spring.
