Hosta Pocket Full of Sunshine

Small hosta grows quickly to form a compact clump of thick, rugose, distinctly cupped leaves that are yellow with broad, deep margins at maturity.  The centers of the leaves are chartreuse in spring and brighten as the season progresses. Long lived plants. Grow best in rich, moist, but well-drained soil in filtered sunlight. Mixing an abundance of organic matter into the soil when planting and then mulching over the years keeps hostas looking their best. Water during periods of drought and protect from slugs.  Zone 3-8.
