A clump forming plant with wiry stems and rounded leaves in stem clasping pairs. Flowers are borne on drooping spikes at the ends of the stems. Well drained soil in a sunny location. Will suffer from rot if it’s too wet in winter, grow in as well drained site as possible. Rock garden plant for a warm sunny corner, looks incredible growing over a boulder or wall. Works well, and a very interesting, container plant.
